The complex of adjoining buildings, too, which was absorbed into the museum in 1984, has a similarly varied architectural history. There is for example the wing directly adjacent to the small inner court of the Handel House (not visible from the street) with its renaissance half-timber structure. The main building that runs parallel to the street also exhibits interesting historical elements such as two renaissance roofs, and a comparatively well-preserved “Bohlenstube” (room with walls of large timber beams) though as a whole the house was obviously built in the 18th century.
